Through a partnership that went into effect Aug. 1, Thompson Construction Group—a South Carolina-based, regional provider of construction, operations and maintenance for industrial services—now manages operations for the Thermaldyne plant in Port Allen, it was announced this morning.
Thompson now supports operations and maintenance for the plant, something company CEO and co-founder Greg Thompson says will extend to “the road ahead, which looks to be optimistic for this potential high growth company.”
Thermaldyne CEO Randall Tobert says in a prepared statement that what Thompson can offer his plant in terms of future growth, at both the North Line plant and future recycling facilities, is “invaluable.”
Thermaldyne, an environmental solutions company, reclaims oil-bearing materials using a process that separates oil-bearing material into treated water, reclaimable assets and solids. Unlike traditional, “cradle-to-grave” reclamation processes, Thermaldyne recycles not just the oil that comes through its doors, but also the water and catalysts—a “cradle-to-cradle” approach.
