Before the Oct. 12 primary election, Louisiana’s three major gubernatorial candidates have settled on three TV debate dates, the News Star reports.
Incumbent Democratic Gov. John Bel Edwards and his top two Republican rivals—Congressman Ralph Abraham of Alto and businessman Eddie Rispone of Baton Rouge—will appear on air together the following dates:
- Sept. 19 Nexstar Media Group debate in Baton Rouge
- Sept. 26 Louisiana Public Broadcasting and CABL’s joint debate at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette campus
- Oct. 9 Gray Television debate in Shreveport
Edwards’ and Abraham’s campaigns previously confirmed to the News Star plans to appear together at three public forums, which Rispone is also expected to attend. Find out more.
