Bruce Katz, author of “The New Localism,” is headlining the 2019 Statewide Economic Development Summit, which is expanding this year into a two-day event starting Oct. 22 at L’Auberge Casino in Baton Rouge.
The Baton Rouge Area Chamber today announced the first details for the summit, featuring a gubernatorial candidate forum on the first evening and a keynote presentation by Katz the second day.
“This event is an annual opportunity for stakeholders who are invested in the future of economic development in Louisiana to network and brainstorm,” says Adam Knapp, president and CEO of BRAC, in a prepared statement, adding the expanded event will “allow for deeper conversations around economic development, community and placemaking, and people and talent.”
Early-bird registration for the summit will take place through Aug. 1, at $180 for an individual ticket and $1,800 for a table of ten. BRAC has more information.
