Lee Michaels expanding flagship Baton Rouge store

Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry is expanding its Bocage store on Corporate Boulevard, the family-owned jewelers announced this morning.

The renovation, expected to be completed in May 2020, will nearly double the store’s footprint to 10,000 square feet. The expansion makes the store the company’s largest location, and includes an enhanced Rolex section as well as a David Yurman shop-in-shop.

“After 15 years at the Bocage location, it was time to enhance our customers’ experience,” says Scott Berg, president of Lee Michaels.

The initial phase has kicked off with renovations to the store’s exterior, which are expected to be finished before the upcoming holiday season. The store will close in January and move inventory to its Mall of Louisiana location for the second phase of construction.

The renovated store will reopen in late April or early May.

“Baton Rouge is, and will always continue to be, our home,” says Lee Michael Berg, the company’s founder and CEO.

Lee Michaels was founded in 1978 and has nine locations in Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas and New Mexico.
