Ad agency moving into former NOLA Media Group office downtown

A Shreveport-based advertising agency is moving into a ground-floor office in One American Place, formerly occupied by NOLA Media Group, in downtown Baton Rouge.

Romph & Pou Agency, a full-service marketing firm with national reach, plans to move into its new office by mid-August, says senior account manager Mary Virginia Middleton. The agency—which also has offices in Texas—opened a Baton Rouge location two years ago in the Gras Town Plaza building downtown, a block away from One American Place.

“Baton Rouge has a lot to offer,” Middleton says. “That’s why we want more visibility and want to get into a bigger space to grow our office.”

The 2,428-square-foot office was previously home to NOLA Media Group, which moved into One American Place in 2012. The office served as the Baton Rouge headquarters for NOLA.com and the local edition of The Times-Picayune

The media company vacated the office in December 2017 after the Baton Rouge bureau dissolved. But its lease did not expire until early 2019, says Branon Pesnell, the property leasing agent with Transwestern Commercial Services. The agent for the tenant, meanwhile, is Bill Sanders, of Beau Box Commercial Real Estate.

Romph & Pou Agency, founded in 1981, has more than 100 total employees in four offices across Louisiana and Texas. The firm’s clients include, among others, Brookshire Grocery Company, Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and WinStar Casino.
