In 2015, Norisha put her fundraising, business development, and project management skills to use in founding NRK Construction.

With her knowledge of the K-12, higher education, and construction industries, Norisha was appointed by Governor John Bel Edwards to the Louisiana Workforce Investment Commission and the Louisiana Economic Development Corporation, and by the Louisiana Department of Education to the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) Accountability Commission.
