    Companies racing to adopt AI are discovering that tools alone aren’t delivering real returns, Fast Company writes

    The true differentiator isn’t the size of an organization’s AI stack—it’s whether leaders build “organizational intelligence,” or the tight integration of human judgment, business context and AI capabilities. While 92% of companies plan to increase AI spending, only about 1% have reached full AI maturity, according to management firm McKinsey. 

    Fragmented adoption—multiple platforms, scattered data and siloed workflows—limits impact and slows decision-making. Instead, executives should focus on building strong data foundations, capturing institutional knowledge and treating AI as a multiplier rather than a shortcut. 

    Three priorities stand out: standardizing workflows, embedding business context into daily operations and redesigning roles so humans and machines collaborate effectively.
