This outdoor retailer is coming to Tanger Outlets in Gonzales

    Columbia, a retailer known primarily for its outdoor apparel, equipment and footwear, is opening a storefront in Tanger Outlets in Gonzales this fall.

    The retailer will set up shop in a 7,600-square-foot space, according to a statement from Tanger. A precise opening date has yet to be announced.

    Based in Portland, Oregon, Columbia got its start in 1938. The brand currently operates one other Baton Rouge location in the Mall of Louisiana.

    Another recent addition to Tanger’s Gonzales outlet mall is Rally House, a sports apparel retailer that opened in a 9,000-square-foot space in June.

    Other recent developments at Tanger:

    • Victoria’s Secret recently opened in the space that formerly housed J. Crew Factory.
    • J. Crew Factory has relocated to a 6,000-square-foot space next to Samsonite.
    • Southern Marsh has relocated to a 4,000-square-foot space next to Guess Factory Store.
