LL Flooring, the flooring company formerly known as Lumber Liquidators, is closing its remaining locations after the bankrupt company failed to find a buyer, reports CBS News.
LL Flooring filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last month, saying it was in negotiations with multiple parties to sell its business and also announced that it would close 94 stores across the U.S.
On Wednesday, the company announced that it had updated its plans: The talks had failed to produce a buyer and it now plans to shutter the business. Roughly 2,000 workers will lose their jobs.
LL Flooring operates six stores in Louisiana, including one on Airline Highway, near Siegen Lane.
LL Flooring, founded in 1994, says it will hold closing sales at its roughly 200 remaining retail locations as the company moves to shut them down over the next 12 weeks.
