Property housing well-known Government Street business sells

    The property that houses longtime interior design company McMillin Interiors has changed hands following a recent transaction.

    Thames Assets LLC purchased the property on Government Street near South Acadian Thruway from MI Interior Properties LLC for $400,000 and other considerations, according to a deal filed Thursday with the East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court’s office.

    Stephen Robert represented MI Interior Properties LLC and Paul Nguyen represented Thames Assets LLC.

    Business filings with the Louisiana Secretary of State’s office list Nguyen as the registered agent and an officer for Thames Assets LLC. Brett Carlin is also an officer.

    The transaction does not affect McMillin’s operations, says Blane Clark, the registered agent for MI Interior Properties LLC. 

    McMillin Interiors has been in business for 35 years. Bill McMillin is the company’s president and founder.
