A new retail center is in the works for Juban Road in Denham Springs.
Juban Retail Partners LLC purchased a 2.12-acre tract along Juban Road north of Juban Crossing from T.A.D. Juban Road LLC for $1.39 million, according to a deal filed last week with the Livingston Parish Clerk of Court’s office.
Doug Ferris of RE/MAX brokered the deal for the seller. Henry Legendre represented the buyer.
Legendre tells Daily Report that the plan is to build a 17,000-square-foot retail center on the land, which is on the east side of Juban across from Bethany Church.
“We’ve got a few tenants that we’re talking to right now and we’ve got letters of intent that we’re negotiating for a little more than 50% of the building,” he says.
Kern Architects is working on the project and has designed the shopping center with nine bays of varying sizes. Legendre says the retail center will be equipped to accommodate tenants of any size.
He says all of the necessary approvals are in place and he expects dirt work to begin within the next 90 days.
