‘225 Dine’: Where to dine and drink downtown after this weekend’s Mardi Gras parades

There will be plenty of time to check out downtown bars and restaurants this weekend as the Mardi Gras season kicks into high gear with three parades rolling through downtown Baton Rouge.

As 225 Dine reports, the Krewe Mystique de la Capitale starts at 2 p.m. on Saturday, and the Krewe of Artemis will follow at 7 p.m., having rescheduled its parade from tonight due to the pending inclement weather. The dog-centric Krewe of Mutts parade closes out the weekend’s parades, rolling at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

For those looking for grab a bite to eat or a drink before and after the parades, 225 Dine has mapped out all the local bars and restaurants in proximity to the parades’ routes. Check out the map, which includes Schilitz & Giggles, The Little Village, Blend, The Blues Room, The Kingfish Grill, Happy’s Irish Pub, Huey’s Bar, and more.
