Faulk & Winkler announces that as of August 31, its founding partner, Albert E. “Bert” Faulk is retired from active practice. Bert co-founded the firm in 1984 alongside David Winkler. As it turns to the next phase of its growth, the firm celebrates Bert’s career spanning more than 55 years in accounting.
“Bert’s ongoing impact on our firm and community, as a mentor, practitioner, and leader, cannot be understated,” said Tommy LeJeune, managing partner. “His example of delivering exceptional client service and technical proficiency while focusing on the future is woven into our firm’s DNA. We have aggressive goals for the next 10 years, and Bert’s legacy will surely guide us as we work towards them.”
What began as a 10-person practice has grown to almost 70 team members across three offices. Since January 2025, Faulk & Winkler has expanded headcount organically by 50%, adding five new senior-level positions across its operations.
“I’m proudest of the people, leadership, and culture we’ve built over 42 years,” Bert said. “While our team is constantly evolving for the future, the culture we’ve built based on deep client relationships and proactively impacting people’s lives – both clients’ and employees’ – remains strong.”
