In 2006, as community banks across the region were being acquired, D’Angelo saw an opportunity to create a different kind of bank. Drawing from his own experiences in the banking industry, he wanted to build a company where people were treated with respect, employees were proud to come to work and the bank could give back to the communities it served.

What began with a vision to fill a void in community banking has grown into a regional institution while maintaining a focus on its people, customers and communities.
