Roundup: Calvin Mills gets award / Episcopal High grad in Swimsuit Edition / Car recalls 

    Honored: Calvin Mills, Research Park Corporation board chair and CEO of CMC Technology Solutions has been awarded the National Small Business Association’s 2019 Lewis Shattuck Small Business Advocate of the Year. The award recognizes small business owners who go above and beyond in advocating for policies to improve America’s business community.

    Swim: Brooks Nader, a 2015 graduate of Episcopal High School and granddaughter of LSU football administrator Sam Nader, is featured in the 2019 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.     Recalls: Ford is issuing two recalls for more than 1.3 million vehicles mainly in North America to fix rear suspension and transmission control software problems. The largest recall covers over 1.2 million Explorer SUVs from 2011 through 2017. Ford says a rear suspension toe link can break if the suspension moves a lot. Dealers will replace the left and right toe links, which keep weight on the tires. Ford also is recalling 123,000 2013 F-150 pickups for a second time to stop transmissions from unintentionally downshifting into first gear. Read the full story.
