Roundup: More lane closures / Text 911 / Shaq and pizza

    Slow down: There will be a single lane closure on I-10 from Highland Road to Old Jefferson Highway eastbound Saturday night from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. for paving operations.     Modern emergency tech: The Calcasieu Parish Public Safety Communications District launched a new program that allows people to text 911 to report an emergency, making it the first parish in the southwest part of the state to do so.     Pizza and basketball: Papa John’s International Inc. said this morning it named National Basketball Hall of Fame member Shaquille O’Neal to its board of directors, The Wall Street Journal reports. The pizza-delivery company also said that O’Neal is investing in nine Papa John’s restaurants in the Atlanta area and will enter into a marketing agreement to be an ambassador for the Papa John’s brand.
