Roundup: BRAC health awards / Emerge has new CEO / Nonprofit grants

    Now open: Applications are being accepted for the Baton Rouge Area Chamber’s inaugural Capital Region Employee Health Innovation Award, honoring companies implementing and promoting innovative practices that lead to healthier and more productive employees in the workplace.     Emerging leadership: Deanna Whittle will take the helm as chief executive officer of The Emerge Center on July 1, succeeding Melissa Juneau, who served in the role for the past 12 years. Whittle will oversee the Emerge enterprise, including The Emerge Center, The Emerge School for Autism and The Emerge Foundation. 

    Community: Consulting agency Success Labs is launching a new funding and community partnership. The Lead and Build “LAB” grant gives $1,000 for each selected Baton Rouge-area nonprofit, and an additional $500 in project project seed money. Applications are due by Aug. 9.
