$181M: Louisiana is set to receive at least $180.9 million from a multistate settlement with Meta over allegations that Facebook and Instagram were designed to keep children engaged, while the state could receive another $67 million if TikTok and YouTube agree to similar child-safety measures. The settlement comes as Attorney General Liz Murrill continues a broader legal push against social media and online platforms over child safety, including lawsuits against TikTok, Roblox, Snap and Discord. Pop-up museum: Raising Cane’s is celebrating its 30th birthday with a pop-up museum next to its original Baton Rouge restaurant, “The Mothership,” where founder Todd Graves lived when he opened the business in 1996. The exhibit showcases artifacts from the company’s early days, including Graves’ original business plan, the first restaurant’s floor plan and cash register, a replica of his 1996 apartment and the Alaskan fishing boat he worked on to help fund the business. 225 has the full story.
