Here are the latest property transactions, issued permits and upcoming business-related events in Ascension Parish.

A commercial addition permit for a 9,300-square-foot metal building added to an existing warehouse at EME Company on Reulet Oaks Drive. The project is valued at $1.6 million with Arkel Constructors as the listed contractor.
A new construction permit for the 13,000-square-foot Ascension Council on Aging Senior Center. The project is valued at $3.5 million and Capital Construction is the listed contractor.
A commercial addition permit for the roughly 5,800-square-foot expansion to Rise Community Hospital on Market Place Drive. The project is valued at $4.6 million, with Buquet & LeBlanc as the contractor.
New construction permit for a 3,266-square-foot office building in the Bayou Business Commons development on JJ Lanoux Road. Babb Construction Inc. is the contractor on the $420,000 project.

Shanon and April Phillips purchased roughly 141 acres on Loosemoore Road near the Louisiana Regional Airport from Russ Settoon’s Landmoore Land Co. for $2.4 million.
Planet Fitness franchisee group Baseline Fitness purchased a vacant 4-acre tract off La. 30 near South Cajun Avenue for a proposed 27,000-square-foot Planet Fitness facility. The construction project is valued at $1.5 million.
St. Tammany Parish investor Drew Pearson purchased the medical office building that houses The Spine and Diagnostic Treatment Center on La. 73 in Prairieville from a group comprising doctors from The Spine Diagnostic and Treatment Center for $450,000.

Member luncheon: Sen. John Kennedy is the guest speaker for the Ascension Chamber member luncheon on Sept. 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Price LeBlanc Pace Center.
Ribbon cutting: United Community Bank is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony on Sept. 9 from 11 a.m. to noon at 625 W. La. 30 Suite F in the Heritage Crossing development. It is the bank’s third Ascension Parish location.
New location: Currency Bank is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony on Sept. 16 from 11 a.m. to noon at 6473 La. 44 suite 106 in Gonzales. The site is the bank’s first location in Ascension Parish.
Small Business Network event: Steven Shook, the owner and principal consultant of Shake it Up Consulting, is the featured presenter at the Ascension Chamber’s Small Business Network’s free monthly networking and education event on Sept. 24 at the Ascension Parish Government complex. Shook will help attendees better understand the different ways people think, communicate, make decisions and respond to pressure.
