News Alert: Jenkins named LSU interim chancellor
In a move that was not unexpected, former LSU system president William Jenkins has been named interim chancellor of LSU's Baton Rouge campus by the LSU Board of Supervisors. He will replace outgoing chancellor Mike Martin, who announced today pending contract negotiations will assume position of chancellor of the Colorado State University System beginning in August. In a release from the university, LSU Board of Supervisors Chairman Hank Danos says, "Dr. Jenkins will provide stability as we move forward and we appreciate Dr. Jenkins' willingness to serve in both capacities."
