ExxonMobil: Building a stronger Louisiana

Sponsored by ExxonMobil CCS

Building a stronger Louisiana starts with investing in the people, businesses, and communities that drive the state’s economy. As one of the region’s largest employers, ExxonMobil supports more than 5,000 employee and contractor jobs in the Baton Rouge area and contributes more than $620 million in annual payroll. The company’s impact extends far beyond its facilities, supporting approximately $1 out of every $16 of economic activity in the Baton Rouge area, with nearly 6% of Greater Baton Rouge’s GDP linked to ExxonMobil operations.

ExxonMobil also paid $96.4 million in Louisiana property taxes and invested more than $123 million with qualified small and diverse businesses in 2025. These investments, combined with the company’s support for education, workforce development, and community collaborations, reflect a long-term commitment to creating opportunity and helping Louisiana communities grow and prosper.
