LSU: Gov. John Bel Edwards spoke publicly for the first time in response to the LSU Title IX report during a news conference today. LSU made the third-party Husch Blackwell report, which showed LSU’s failure at investigating sexual misconduct allegations, available to the public last week. Edwards says the report’s findings are troubling, and that it’s imperative Louisiana overhaul the systems that allowed for the mishandling of such allegations. See the governor’s statement from WAFB-TV.

Applications open: Young Entrepreneurs Academy Baton Rouge held its annual pitch night last week and $20,000 was awarded to 14 startups created by area high schoolers.
