Club Pilates, a boutique Pilates studio franchise, is moving into the Citiplace Court space once occupied by Corporate Brew & Draft, which closed last July.
Carmen Austin of Saurage Rotenberg Commercial Real Estate, the property’s leasing agent, says Kendra Williams, a multi-franchisee, recently signed a 10-year lease on the 2,700-square-foot space, which was among several vacancies at the Corporate Boulevard retail center.
“Citiplace offers a convenient environment near many local offices, businesses, hotels, and neighborhoods, which is what [Club Pilates] was looking for,” Austin says, adding she also has three restaurant and bar concepts considering the next-door space vacated by The Cove bar in September, as well as a lease pending with a national franchise at the center’s former UPS space.
The studio, which bills itself as “the nation’s largest premium Pilates franchise,” offers a range of classes that include low-impact, full-body workouts, in addition to a corporate wellness package.
It would mark Baton Rouge’s first location of Club Pilates, which currently has 503 active studios in the U.S. and Canada, according to its website, with another 600 planned to open soon. The 12-year-old company has other Louisiana locations in Mandeville, Metairie, Lafayette and Shreveport.
Club Pilates is slated to open in the next four to five weeks.
