Baton Rouge’s Best Places to Work will be revealed tomorrow

Business Report will honor the Capital Region’s Best Places to Work and Top 100 Private Companies in two separate free livestreamed events on Sept. 15.

The 2020 Louisiana Business Symposium featuring these two events was originally scheduled as a live gathering at the Crowne Plaza, but now is virtual in keeping with restrictions on community events due to the pandemic.

Sponsors for both events are Fishman Haygood; LWCC; Mercedes-Benz of Baton Rouge; IBERIABANK, a division of First Horizon Bank; and WAFB.

The 2020 Louisiana Business Symposium begins at 8:30 a.m. with an announcement of the 50 companies named as the Best Places to Work in the Capital Region. Peter Burke, president and co-founder of Best Companies Group, which compiles the lists of Best Places to Work for Business Report, will share data about Baton Rouge companies. Viewers will also hear the secrets for building an award-winning company from the six CEOs of top companies on the list in a special panel discussion. Following the event, the Best Places to Work edition of Business Report will go live on businessreport.com.

In a separate celebration of the Top 100 Private Companies in the Capital Region at 11 a.m., economist Loren Scott will exclusively unveil his 2021-2022 economic trends outlook for Louisiana and Baton Rouge. He is on the 50-member National Business Economic Issues Council, which meets quarterly to discuss issues of state, national and international interest.
