$6M grant awarded for Jones Creek flood mitigation project

Gov. John Bel Edwards on Thursday announced $34 million in federal funding for 13 flood risk reduction projects. Of that $34 million, East Baton Rouge Parish will receive $6 million for the Jones Creek Detention Project, which the parish will use to purchase land for water retention near the creek.
