The Partnership lands two international economic development honors

The Greater Baton Rouge Economic Partnership earned two 2026 Excellence in Economic Development Awards from the International Economic Development Council, the world’s largest nonprofit organization for professional economic developers.

The Partnership won a Silver Award in the Special Event category for its most recent BRAC Impact event and a Bronze Award in the General Purpose Website category for its new website, greaterbatonrouge.org. Both awards were presented in the population greater than 500,000 division.

At BRAC Impact, held in October, the organization celebrated two decades of economic development wins under the Baton Rouge Area Chamber branding before reintroducing itself as The Partnership.

The new website, meanwhile, was developed as part of the organization’s rebranding and is intended to serve as a “key resource” for investors, site selectors and regional partners.

“These awards recognize two projects that tell an important story about where our organization and region have been and where we are headed,” said Klein Kirby, The Partnership’s board chair.

The Partnership will be recognized alongside other award recipients from across the country and around the world during the IEDC 2026 Annual Conference in New Orleans this October.
