Shrimp Basket has opened its second Baton Rouge location in a new 9,000-square-foot shopping center on South Sherwood Forest Boulevard, between the Londoner and South of Philly restaurants, the company announced.
The Alabama-based restaurant chain opened its first Baton Rouge restaurant last August on Perkins Road in the building that was formerly home to McAlister’s Deli.
The 4,000 square foot restaurant has seating for around 120 and features the company’s new design featuring picnic style tables outside and palm trees.
The Baton Rouge restaurants are Shrimp Basket’s lone Louisiana locations. Founded in 1993, it has 29 locations in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi.
