Industry leaders added: Future Use of Energy in Louisiana, or FUEL, has named Chris Johnson of Baker Hughes as chair of its Industry Advisory Board and Ben André of Worley as vice chair. In their new roles, they will advise FUEL on industry needs, business research, technology development and commercialization, and workforce development, while also serving on FUEL’s Governance Board. FUEL brings together universities, community and technical colleges, state agencies, and industry and capital partners to drive high impact technology development and innovation.
‘Robotoid humanness’: A new theoretical study suggests that frequent interactions with AI chatbots could gradually make people communicate and behave in more robotic ways. Researchers argue that because users often simplify their language and become more explicit to get better responses from AI, those behaviors may be reinforced over time. Fancier flights: American Airlines is expanding its premium travel offerings with a retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER featuring 144 premium seats, including 70 lie-flat Flagship Suites with sliding doors. The airline plans to retrofit all 20 of its 777-300ERs by next year as it shifts from traditional international first class and focuses on attracting higher-spending travelers.
