Health Tip of the Week, sponsored by Baton Rouge General: How to safely host a child’s birthday celebration

One of the most disheartening things during this pandemic is trying to explain to your children why their party is being canceled or why we can’t celebrate as usual. With a little creativity and implementing some safe practices, you can still throw your kids a meaningful party. Think small to limit exposure. Most kids only need a few friends to have a good time. Consider keeping the party outside to allow proper social distancing and maybe skip blowing out those candles. Instead, give the birthday boy or girl their own individual cake so they can still make a wish!
