Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week seeking exhibitors for BREW Opening Night
Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week organizers are seeking exhibitors for the BREW Opening Night event being held Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the Louisiana Emerging Technology Center on the LSU campus.
Open to the public, the event will highlight local entrepreneurs and innovators in a celebration of Baton Rouge.
Those interested in being an exhibitor can register online.
The main programming for entrepreneurs will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 14. Designed as an interactive learning experience and an opportunity to connect with other entrepreneurs to help solve the challenges in their businesses, events will include panel discussions and keynote addresses by Portland, Oregon-based entrepreneur Jill Nelson, founder and CEO of Ruby Receptionist, and by Louisiana-based entrepreneur Chris Meaux, founder and CEO of Waitr.
On Nov. 15, “Get Started Louisiana,” a high stakes pitch event hosted by Cox Communications and PitchBR, will feature five entrepreneurs competing for a top prize valued at $10,000.
A detailed agenda, information about keynote and panel speakers, and tickets for all events can be found at celebratebrew.com.
BREW became an official program of NexusLA last year. The format is being refined this year to include programming that helps local entrepreneurs who already have traction in the marketplace and are now growing their businesses.
“We heard from scale-up entrepreneurs that they wanted programming to address the challenges faced by entrepreneurs growing their businesses,” says Wendy Overton, NexusLA director of programs. “This year, we are crafting the programming for BREW to help entrepreneurs at all stages and particularly these entrepreneurs who are working to grow their businesses into the next Waitr or even Fortune 500 enterprise.”
