Education spending a key focus of Gov. Edwards’ $45.7B budget plan

Gov. John Bel Edwards’ final proposed state budget, which was presented to a joint legislative committee this morning, includes raises for teachers, hundreds of millions of dollars in additional funding for transportation projects
