29. PECUE LANE
What: Replace a two-lane, open-ditch roadway section with two 12-foot lanes and two-foot shoulders with curb-and-gutter section. Will include the acquisition of right-of-way for a future five-lane roadway section. The bridges crossing Ward’s Creek and I-10 will be reconstructed to accommodate future roadway width. The existing Pecue/Airline Highway intersection and median will be demolished and replaced with a cul-de-sac. Other elements include the realignment of the existing road at both Perkins Road and at Airline Highway.
