BANKING/FINANCE

Barbee Edmonds has been hired as a mortgage lender and bank officer for American Gateway Bank. Edmonds, who has more than seven years’ experience in mortgage lending, previously served as a loan officer for Omni Bank.

Katie Gibbons has been hired as a private banking expert in the wealth-management division of Hancock Bank. Gibbons previously served as a private banker for a large regional bank.

Nicole Stoufflet has been hired as the agency marketing director for Creative Financial Solutions, an office of MetLife. In her new role, Stoufflet will develop tactical marketing plans and strategies; create relationships with local media, civic groups, charities, alliances and other organizations; and lead marketing training for financial-services representatives.

COMMUNICATIONS

Margret Huval has been promoted to director of southeast regional fleet operations for Cox Communications. Huval, who has more than 15 years’ experience in corporate fleet operations, joined the company in 2009 as fleet supervisor. In her new role, she will oversee the regionalization of fleet systems for Louisiana, Florida and Georgia.

EDUCATION

Terry R. Hall has been named associate vice chancellor for financial affairs for the Southern University Law Center. Hall, who has more than 40 years’ experience in accounting, previously served as the chief financial officer for the Louisiana Family Recovery Corps.

Pamela Matassa has been named director of communications for the LSU College of Music & Dramatic Arts. In her new role, Matassa will oversee publicity, imaging, marketing, audience services and communications; coordinate new partnerships with National Public Radio affiliates in Louisiana; and ensure that students, faculty and alumni receive national attention.

ENGINEERING

Robert L. Cangelosi Jr. has been promoted to vice president/engineering division manager for SJB Group. In his new role, Cangelosi will develop the company’s technical plans; develop new clients and projects; serve as a technical expert to help project managers select project teams; provide advice, counsel and peer review to ensure the technical appropriateness and accuracy of completed projects; and serve as a public-relations ambassador.

Stephen Estopinal has been hired as a surveying assistant division manager/senior project manager for SJB Group. Estopinal, who has 38 years’ experience as a civil engineer and land surveyor, previously served as a senior land surveyor/engineer for SJB Group. In his new role, he will support the surveying division manager with the direction of the division, and survey private and public properties.

Lucila Cobb has been named vice president and office manager for Brown and Caldwell, a Walnut Creek, Calif.-based environmental engineering firm that recently opened a Baton Rouge office. Cobb has 30 years’ experience managing major environmental and chemcial engineering projects, including design, production and operations management and permitting.

HEALTH CARE

Sherry Collura has been promoted to patient safety director for North Oaks Health System. Collura previously served as patient safety coordinator.

Sherri Hayes has been promoted to assistant vice president of case management for North Oaks Health System. Hayes, who has 30 years’ experience in emergency-medicine, critical-care and community-health nursing, previously served as case management coordinator.

Eileen Johnson has been promoted to director of employee wellness for North Oaks Health System. Johnson, who worked for the company from 1972-79 and rejoined it in 1985, previously served as employee wellness coordinator.

INDUSTRY

Daniel Tate has been named plant manager of Rhodia’s Baton Rouge production site. Tate previously served as plant manager of the company’s Cincinnati production site. In his new role, he will oversee leadership and management of the 223-person facility, the company’s largest in North America.

LAW

Judith Giorlando has been promoted to of counsel for Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson. Giorlando, who has been with the firm since 2009, practices in health care, including transactional, regulatory and litigation
issues.

James R. Raines has been promoted to partner for Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson. Raines, who has been with the firm since 2004, practices in casualty litigation.

Scott D. Huffstetler has been promoted to partner for Kean Miller. Huffstetler practices in the labor and employment law group, representing employers on issues such as discrimination, harassment and retaliation legislation.

Tara M. Madison has been promoted to partner for Kean Miller. Madison practices in the commercial-litigation and intellectual-property groups, with experience in trademark, copyright, trade-dress and trade-secret matters.
