For Stan Levy, being an executive with a major communications company—Clear Channel—is an exciting and rewarding career. But what Levy finds even more meaningful is the community involvement that comes with the job. It gives him a chance to give back and, hopefully, to make a difference.
“I have been given a lot, and I believe everyone should have an opportunity to give back,” Levy says. “The more people are helping and giving their time and efforts, the better the community will be for everyone.”
Among the many organizations with which Levy has been involved are Junior Achievement of Greater Baton Rouge, Big Buddy, Baton Rouge General Foundation, YMCA, Arthritis Foundation, Muscular Dystrophy Association and St. George Men’s Club. It’s an impressive list—and that’s what he does in his spare time.

During the work week, Levy is a senior regional market consultant for radio giant Clear Channel Communications. In today’s media environment, that’s no easy job. But Levy has been recognized by the corporation as one of its top producers regionally and nationwide. Levy says it’s not so much work; he really enjoys partnering with clients and helping them formulate their messages and communication strategies so they can grow their companies.
“It’s very rewarding to be able to help businesses and companies grow and brand their businesses,” he says, “because it helps the overall growth of Baton Rouge.”
Levy became interested in the world of media during his summer breaks from LSU. He had the opportunity to work as an intern in Los Angeles for DreamWorks and Ticketmaster. It opened his eyes to the opportunities that exist in media, marketing and sales, and he decided to test those opportunities in his home state.
Now, a decade later, Levy sees even more opportunity for growth, particularly in the Baton Rouge market.
“There’s so much additional potential that we haven’t tapped into yet to help businesses grow,” he says. “Not only with radio, but with all the other media out there. It’s very exciting and also very challenging.”

What is Baton Rouge’s biggest strength in the quest to attract young professionals? “Baton Rouge’s strength during this economic downturn is a strong telling factor in the foundation of our local economy. Young professionals should see some stability with these statistics and feel comfortable in choosing this area to locate."
