Andy Bush has been hired as a financial consultant for Horizon Wealth Management. Bush, who has 10 years’ experience as a Certified Retirement Plan Specialist, will oversee the firm’s retirement plans group, which includes servicing existing clients, developing business and interfacing with platform providers and administrators. He previously owned Pathway Planning Group, an independent financial planning firm.
Greg Inman has been named senior vice president-retail operations for Neighbors Federal Credit Union. Inman has been with Neighbors since 2000, previously serving as the manager of its lender development program with CUNA Mutual Group.

Sylvain Brigant has been hired as the marketing retention manager for the Baton Rouge and Lafayette markets of Cox Communications. Brigant previously worked for Unilever, where he was an associate brand manager working with Knorr and Lipton. He also has experience in the gaming, information services and online retail industries.

EDUCATION
Kim Burgo has been named a fellow by the LSU Stephenson Disaster Management Institute. Burgo is the vice president of the National Disaster Response Office for Catholic Charities USA. She led U.S.-based efforts during the seven-year recovery period for Hurricane Mitch in Central America as well as a four-month tour of duty during hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Through SDMI’s practitioner fellows program, leading national practitioners are invited to work with the institute for a period of one or two years.
Hank Shepard has been hired as the CEO of Advance Baton Rouge. Shepard, who was recently with the Algiers Charter School Association, will take over as head of the organization, which will run five schools in the Capital Region in the 2009-10 school year.
HEALTH CARE
Kasey Cooke has been named director of quality resources at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary. Cooke is responsible for coordinating all aspects of hospital quality, including infection control, employee health, case management, core measures, patient satisfaction and physician credentialing statistics. She has more than 15 years’ experience, and previously served as Lane’s house supervisor.
Heather Murphy has been hired as the Wellness Works Corporate Health Consultant at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary. Murphy is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the Lane Wellness Works program, a free program designed to work hand-in-hand helping local business and industry control their workers’ compensation costs. She previously served as a relocation specialist for Perkins Rowe/JTS.
Dr. Vincent Shaw has been named a partner with the Burnham Family and Sports Medicine Center-Harrell’s Ferry. Shaw has practiced at the center for two years, providing primary care to children and adults. He also provides medical care for high school and college athletes. He previously practiced urgent care medicine.

Luke Kissam IV has been named executive vice president of Albemarle Corporation. Kissam previously served as senior vice president, manufacturing, law and secretary, a role he assumed in March 2008. In addition to continuing with those responsibilities, he also will oversee Albemarle’s worldwide health, safety and environmental functions as well as its global efforts to drive continued operational efficiencies and productivity improvements.

Jason R. Brown has been hired as an associate attorney at Kean Miller Hawthorne D’Armond McCowan & Jarman. Brown will practice in the state and local tax and business and corporate practice groups. He previously served as an associate at Adams and Reese.
Michael R. Phillips has been named partner at Kean Miller Hawthorne D’Armond McCowan & Jarman. Phillips, who practices in the litigation group, represents local, regional and multinational energy and petrochemical clients. He previously served as a partner with Frilot.
Don Cazayoux has joined the mediation panel at Perry Dampf Dispute Solutions as a mediator for commercial disputes, personal injury cases and other insurance-related claims. Cazayoux was elected in 1999 to the Louisiana House of Representatives, and he was elected to Congress from the 6th District in 2008.

Ann Williamson has been named president and CEO of Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations. Williamson previously served as LANO’s vice president of public policy and the director of the Louisiana Budget Project. She also served as LANO’s assistant director from 1998-2000.
SALES AND MARKETING
Dorothy Kemp has been promoted to project manager for Bascom Hunter. Kemp will oversee implementation of the company’s sales force and customer relationship management software. She previously served as the senior business development analyst.
