Bascom Hunter has developed a CRM Rapid Rollout service that integrates Salesforce.com with a client’s existing business processes. An effective CRM customization balances the ability to both import data history and consistently capture accurate data as a company’s customer facing processes evolve. The services are implemented over a period of one to three weeks.
BBi Architectural Services has opened an Alexandria branch. The location, BBi’s third, will be managed by Brad Everett, an Alexandria native who has been a project manager with the company since December 2008.
Camille’s Sidewalk Café signed a lease for the former Starbucks location on Siegen Lane and plans to open its second Baton Rouge restaurant in July. Camille’s, which sells sandwiches, salads, paninis and pizzas, opened its first Louisiana store in April 2008 next to the Mall of Louisiana’s open-air lifestyle center, The Boulevard.
Cosmetic Health and Laser Centers has merged with Louisiana Urgent Care Centers. The partnership allows the Brusly and Gonzales locations to offer the latest in physician-provided cosmetic services, including Smartlipo, Serdev Suture Suspension, Botox, Juvederm/Radiesse and Accent XL Laser.
Gladden Sales Inc. has purchased the former Town Construction buildings from A. Hays Town Jr. The company needed the 6,500 square feet of combined office and warehouse space to accommodate the growth of its safety tagging and related business. Buck Gladden III started the safety tagging business in 2001, and it has outgrown its former Perkins Road facility.
Louisiana Public Broadcasting Programming Director Jennifer Howze has been honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Public Television Programmers Association. The PTPA is the association for the program directors of public television stations around the country. Howze has overseen programming, traffic and promotions for the six-station public television network since 1983.

Natchez, Miss.-based Britton & Koontz Bank has bought a 4,000-square-foot office near Jefferson Highway and Bluebonnet Boulevard and plans to open its second Baton Rouge branch there within the next two months.
Pelican State Credit Union has purchased the Credit Union Service Center in Shreveport. The credit union will operate the Pierremont Road location, which opened in 1994, as a service center outlet and phase in Pelican State products and services.
Stanley Consultants has been retained by Metro Airport for the Greater Baton Rouge Airport District Taxiway “F” Rehabilitation and Extension project, which involves the design and preparation of plans and specifications for the taxiway. The existing taxiway must be expanded to accommodate the current and future aircraft needs of the airport.
Stirling Properties has become the exclusive facilities management firm for the State Farm Insurance Operations Center on Towne Center Boulevard. The 65,000-square-foot, two-story, Class A center anchors the mixed-use development.
Tupelo, Miss.-based BancorpSouth has introduced an online product, FinanceWorks, for its Internet customers. FinanceWorks helps customers manage all of their financial accounts in one place so they can more easily budget and gain control over their spending.
VooDoo BBQ & Grill has sold the franchise rights for a Denham Springs location and plans to open a restaurant in the city later this year. John Chen and Chip Gary own the franchise rights for the Denham Springs restaurant. A VooDoo BBQ Express is set to open in the Mall of Louisiana food court by August.

Adams and Reese ranks No. 150 in the Minority Law Journal’s 2009 Diversity Scorecard. This year’s rankings were revised to stress the importance of hiring and promoting minority attorneys to partnership positions. A new diversity score was created by adding the minority percentage of all U.S. attorneys at the firms surveyed to the minority percentage of all U.S. partners at those firms.
AppOne, a part of Wolters Kluwer Financial Services, has added Louisiana-based Pelican State Credit Union to its credit union platform. AppOne will help Pelican State connect with auto, marine and RV dealerships to provide financing options for its customers.
The Baton Rouge Area Convention & Visitors Bureau has been accredited by the Destination Marketing Accreditation Program for meeting or exceeding industry standards. The Baton Rouge CVB is one of 85 tourism organizations worldwide to earn accreditation. The accreditation is good for four years. The Southwest Louisiana/Lake Charles Convention & Visitors Bureau also earned the designation this year.
Colby Williams, a CPA in Faulk & Winkler’s auditing department, has earned his CFE designation. The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners is the world’s largest antifraud organization and a premier provider of antifraud training and education.

The Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center has elected new board members. They are J. Gerard Jolly, board chairman; Richard A. Lipsey, immediate past chairman; Donna M. Saurage, vice chair; Tom J. Meek Jr., secretary; and D. Randolph Waesche, treasurer. G. Lee Griffin, Bill O’Quin and Waesche were elected to three-year terms.
Michael Brown of Gonzales-based Brown Management Group has been named Louisiana PTAC Contractor of the Year by Louisiana Economic Development.
Mike Manning, CEO of the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, has been elected to the National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters board of directors. Manning also is the president of the Louisiana VOAD and Louisiana Capital Area VOAD. The national organization is the forum through which groups share knowledge and resources throughout the disaster cycle.
Paul Coreil, vice chancellor of the LSU AgCenter, and Marybeth Lima, professor in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, received the 2009 top awards from the LSU Kiwanis Club. Coreil received the Outstanding Leadership Award for his efforts in obtaining local funding for the first time from all 64 parishes for support of the Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service. Lima received the Distinguished Service Award for her creative and diligent work in the design and construction of 18 playgrounds at East Baton Rouge Parish schools.
The Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance, Inc., has announced the winners of its 2009 Contractor Workforce Development Excellence Awards. The winners are Vector Electric & Controls [Mechanical and Electrical Contractor, small]; Industrial Specialty Contractors and Triad Electric & Controls [Mechanical and Electrical Contractor, medium]; Turner Industries [Mechanical and Electrical Contractor, large]; and Capitol Ultrasonics [Other Specialty Contractor, small/medium]. Pala Interstate, Jacobs Field Services and Basic Industries received Recognition Awards.
PHILANTHROPY
The LSU Foundation received a gift of $1,163,585 from the ExxonMobil Foundation. This is the second consecutive year in which LSU has received more than $1 million from ExxonMobil. In 2008, LSU became the first university in the world to receive more than $1 million from ExxonMobil in a calendar year.
