LAFAYETTE (AP) — Home nursing provider LHC Group Inc. has entered into a joint venture with New Orleans-based Ochsner Health System to provide home services in southeastern Louisiana.
Terms of the agreement, which is expected to close Feb. 1, were not disclosed Thursday.
LHC said it had purchased 75 percent of two Ochsner-owned home health agencies in Kenner and Raceland, while Ochsner bought 25 percent of three LHC-owned agencies in Houma, Lutcher and Hammond.
About 100 Ochsner employees will become employees of LHC.
The service area has about 1.6 million residents, LHC said.
