Thursday -- State Sen. Sharon Weston Broome will hold a community meeting at 6 p.m. in the Greenwell Springs Library. This is the first in a series of meetings Weston Broome will hold around her district to get citizen comments on legislative issues.
Friday - Dennis Maple, president of ARAMARK Education, will be the guest speaker as part of the LSU Flores MBA Distinguished Speaker Series. Maple will speak at 10 a.m. in LSU's Energy, Coast & Environment Building.
March 24 -- The Southern University Center for Rural and Small Business Development will hold a day long procurement opportunities conference March 24 in the Cotillion Ballroom of the Smith-Brown Memorial Union. Officials from agencies such as the U.S. Small Business Administration, Louisiana Economic Development, and the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors, will be on hand.
