I live in ever-positive and beautiful Iberville Parish and I am happy to report we have new housing starts EVERYWHERE, most of them upscale and even some spec houses going up. Our economy is BOOMING. People buy houses here on Bayou Plaquemine and tear them down to get the lots to rebuild trophy houses on. We have full restaurants everywhere and people spending money everywhere and no repossessed houses that I have heard of.
Our new neighborhoods and waterfront neighborhood and our Garden District are sparkling with pristine well kept homes. We have a busy Cadillac dealership that has been around for a long time in a city this size...
Even with our hospital temporarily closed we are on top of the world.
Tourism is booming. We see multitudes of international visitors with our annual Acadian Festival and our Mardi Gras. We even still interest the Hollywood movie people up here an hour north of New Orleans International Airport...
Perhaps we have left the Louisiana you mention behind but you may catch up with us. It is all in attitude. NO COMPLAINTS IN PLAQUEMINE...
