An advisory committee has recommended Fregonese Associates, a Portland-based firm, to consult with planning staff on the update of the East Baton Rouge Parish comprehensive master plan. Fregonese was selected over Glatting Jackson and HNTB; the committee interviewed all three firms today. The committee’s recommendation now goes to Mayor-President Kip Holden, and must be approved by the Planning Commission and the Metro Council. Planning Director Troy Bunch says the committee’s vote was “overwhelming” in Fregonese’s favor but not unanimous. -- David Jacobs
