Accounting

Shannon E. Wascom was promoted to partner in the Tax Division of Hannis T. Bourgeois CPAs. Wascom, who joined the firm in 2001, has 11 years of public accounting experience and specializes in all areas of taxation as well as litigation support. He previously served as senior manager.

Communications & Media

Molly Malloy was named communications specialist at the Baton Rouge Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. Previously, Malloy served as a public relations assistant account executive at R&R Partners in Las Vegas, where she worked on the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and the Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation Accounts.

Dan Braun joined Cox Greater Louisiana as vice president of Field Operations. Braun has more than 26 years of experience with Cox, beginning as an installer for Cox Omaha. Previously, Braun served as director of Network and Field Operations for Cox Santa Barbara.

Munzer Qaddourah joined Cox Greater Louisiana as vice president and general manager for Cox Media. Qaddourah joins Cox Greater Louisiana with more than 20 years’ experience in sales leadership including 10 years’ experience in cable advertising. He has served in sales management with Cox Media for the past eight years, most recently as the general sales manager for Cox Media in Northern Virginia.

Rhonda Taylor joined Cox Greater Louisiana as vice president of People Services. Taylor joins Cox from Citigroup where she served for more than 21 years in a variety of leadership roles in the Human Resources arena. Most recently, she served as the senior vice president of Human Resources in Coppell, Texas.

Education

Stephen Holliday was appointed associate director for Placement & Corporate Relations for the Flores MBA Program in the LSU E.J. Ourso College of Business. Holliday will work to develop relationships with new and existing corporate partners as well as work to increase employer awareness among students. Holliday is a member of the Louisiana State and American Bar Associations and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Barbara Camp was appointed alumni events coordinator for Catholic High School. In her new position, Camp will direct all alumni events including Homecoming Tailgate gather, Alumni Prayer Breakfast and the Chef’s Taste Fair. She will also oversee membership renewals. As a member of the faculty for nine years, she previously served as secretary and assistant to Public Relations and Activities.

Financial & Insurance

Stephanie S. Ferry was named managing director at Morgan Keegan & Co. Ferry has more than 20 years’ experience in the public finance industry as a municipal bond underwriter and financial adviser. Her recent experience includes the State of Louisiana’s Gulf Tax Credit Bonds and issues for Bogalusa Community Medical Center, St. Charles Parish Waterworks and the Port of New Orleans.

Candace Eldridge joined Business First Bank as vice president of Human Resources. Previously, Eldridge served as human resource program manager and regional human resource manager at Blockbuster Video. She holds certification in Human Resource Management, Employment Law Trainer, Certified Interviewing Facilitator and Leadership trainer.

Sonya M. Burton was named vice president and internal auditor for Business First Bank. Burton, who joined the bank in 2007, previously served as auditor.

Karen Piper was promoted to loan operations officer for Business First Bank. Piper, who joined the bank in November 2006, previously served as loan documentation specialist.

Ana Rupnik was named assistant vice president of Credit for Business First Bank. Rupnik joined the bank in August 2006, previously serving as senior credit analyst.

Kerry Drake was named president of Wright and Percy Insurance, a division of BancorpSouth Insurance Services. Drake previously served as senior vice president for the life, health and corporate benefits division and has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. He is credited with building the fastest growing employee benefits division in Louisiana which now accounts for 20% of Wright and Percy’s revenues.

Warren L. Kron joined United Community Bank as senior vice president and commercial lending officer. Kron will manage and maintain a commercial portfolio and generate new business in the Baton Rouge Market at the Coursey Branch. Previously, he served as a senior vice president for State Bank and Trust.

Andrea S. Randall joined United Community Bank as banking officer and Coursey branch manager. Randall will manage the branch’s consumer loan and deposit growth. Previously, she served as branch manager for State Bank and Trust.

Health Care

Marshall St. Amant was named medical director of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Woman’s Hospital. He has been on staff at Woman’s Hospital since 2005. Previously, Dr. St. Amant served as assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He is board certified in maternal-fetal medicine.

K. Scott Wester was appointed CEO of Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. Previously, Wester served as president/CEO of St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. Prior to his appointment at St. Francis, Wester served as president/CEO of St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales. He assumes his duties no later than March 17.

Lan Lin joined Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center as a clinical medical physicist. Previously, Lin served as a graduate teaching assistant at the Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio with the Department of Radiological Sciences. Lin received formal clinical training and worked as a medical physicist at International Medical Physics Services before coming to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.

Cathy Gautier joined Gulf States Heath Services as corporate controller. Prior to joining Gulf States, she worked primarily in the insurance and banking industries and has been in private practice as a CPA for the past 6 years.

Frank Shiffer joined Gulf States Health Services as CFO. Previously, he served as principal of Integrated Health Care Solutions, consulting major health care providers on financial aspects of acquisitions, new enterprises and services. Shiffer brings more than 20 years of experience managing complex health care organizations.

Law

Timothy W. Hardy was named chairman of Lemle & Kelleher’s Management Committee for 2008. Hardy is the first African-American elected to this position in the firm’s 100-year history. Hardy joined the firm in 1994 and has served as leader of the firm’s Environmental Law Practice Group. He also serves on the firm’s Executive and Management committees and is the head of the firm’s Baton Rouge office. Hardy also serves as an adjunct professor of Environmental Law at Southern University Law Center.
