I hope Boneno decides to run again!

I wish Skyring would reconsider running again.

Anybody but Benham. Watch his contributor list. The man worked against me on a zoning issue, (and might I add for the interests of one) and after my attorney worked out a compromise with the Parish Attorney, BENHAM TOOK CREDIT FOR IT. DO NOT CARE FOR THE MAN.

Please tell me in which district is E. Lakeshore Dr., close to Morning Glory.

weaver111445... That is district 12, you have a choice between the three stooges, Moe , Larry, and Curley. God help us.

Brett Jackson is also running for district 12

bjack25, Brett Jackson? Can you tell us more about Brett?

Posted by bjack25 on June 28, 2008 at 3:58 p.m. (Suggest removal)

Why certainly, Brett Jackson is an LSU student running in d12. He is running on a platform of attracting new business to the city, overhauling the public transportation system, and systematically solving the biggest problem facing the district: Traffic congestion. He supports the One Baton Rouge proposal as well as smart growth to implement into new city development.

He will work to end what Mayor-President Holden calls the "Kangaroo Court" of the Council and hopes that he will be part of a fresh council that will think ahead and not behind.

Brett Jackson gets my vote. Brett, you do realize that with three like minded canidates, you may very well get elected. Good Luck!

Thanks Fred, im hoping the whole district (or 51% at least) shares that feeling

Good luck Brett! If I were still living in Baton Rouge, you'd get my vote. The city desperately needs some progressive thinkers on the Metro Council.

Thank God Ronnie Edwards is running for Dist 5! She'll be a breath of fresh air to the Metro Council.

We definitely need some progressive candidates for all seats on the MC, which would be a complete reversal of the current direction. The only incumbent worth re-electing is Martha Jane Tassin. I just hope she fends off her opponents again.

If your job does not prohibit political activity, then get involved in your district's race! Give money (the life blood of any campaign), volunteer your time to your candidate's campaign AND (not or) VOTE!!

Good luck Brett. I can't vote for you but I'll be rooting for you from the sidelines.

Diva, I could not agree more with your push for involvement, regardless of you candidate preference. I hope the days of apathy are behind us.

There is more than one candidate for district 11.

Where are the other candidates for District 11? This is a poor job BR Business Report. I would like to know the views and positions of ALL candidates, not just the ones you support. I'm canceling my subscription, immediately.
