Steel firm bypasses plant talk for now

(From The Times-Picayune) The board of directors of Nucor Corp. will not decide this week on whether to build a $2 billion pig iron plant in either St. James Parish or Brazil while the steel company awaits the completion of Louisiana's environmental permitting process, Chief Operating Officer John Ferriola said Tuesday.
