2008 Business Awards and Hall of Fame

2008 Business Awards and Hall of Fame

Monday, April 7, 2008

Success in business is worthy of recognition, and local companies make a major contribution to the quality of life in our community.

The Business Awards were started in 1984 to pay tribute to those individuals and companies within the business sector in recognition of their many accomplishments.

In 1993, Business Report brought in a partner, Junior Achievement, and we added the Hall of Fame category to recognize a lifetime of achievement.

Nominations are received and presented to a community panel of judges, including

Jeff Fluhr, Downtown Development District; Phyllis Mouton, Workforce, Corporate & Continuing Education; Charles D’Agostino, Louisiana Business & Technology Center; John H. Davies, Baton Rouge Area Foundation; and Cornelius “Connie” Lewis, Gulf Coast BIDCO.

Business Report and Junior Achievement do not vote on the recipients; our role is to recognize and honor the companies and individuals who demonstrate outstanding achievements within the Capital Region.
