I enjoy working with different people of all walks of life and business

Teaming-up with my two great partners – we fantastically complement each other

What was your first job?

VERY FIRST: Working on my family’s farm when I was fifteen – I could drive a truck, so that enabled me to chase the cattle back into the pens when they busted-out, mend fence, and feed the cattle.

FIRST PROFESSIONAL JOB: In Baton Rouge, it would be working for Skipper Post.

What is the best advice you've ever received?

From my older brothers – ‘Do it right the first time, and you won’t have to do it again’

Who do you most admire in the local business community and why?

Johnny Milazzo of Lard Oil: Johnny Milazzo of Lard Oil. He has a very successful and burgeoning business, retains his employees, has an ease of demeanor about him and is a pleasure to work with.

If you could have any job other than your own, what would it be?

I would like to be an author of fiction and non-fiction novels.

What is the greatest personal or professional obstacle you've overcome?

I would have to say the loss of my mother; luckily, I have great siblings and a father that I wish I could emulate.

What is your prescription for life?

Constantly try to evaluate yourself objectively and improve on everything that you do.

At Dawn We Slept

Work-out at the gym, watch football/attend football games, read a book.

Buying my latest car.

Work in the yard, spend time with my family.

Citizens and leaders to take more pride by keeping the city clean, orderly and maintaining what we have.

What is your greatest hope for Baton Rouge?

That we have a progressive and viable business leaders and developers to recognize the value of quality design and construction.

What is your greatest fear for Baton Rouge?

That the recent growing interest in developing Baton Rouge downtown into a viable residential center wanes and that our educational base does not improve.
