Why do you do what you do?
I love children and always have. I like different experiences and no two days are ever the same in a school.
What is your greatest professional accomplishment?
Being one of 22 teachers from across the U.S. selected by NASA to attend the newest training at Kennedy Space Center. I have been inside the orbiters Atlantis, Discovery, and Endeavor. I was able to meet 18 astronauts and attend a shuttle launch and sit in the VIP section.

Babysitting
What is the best advice you've ever received?
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
If you could have any job other than your own, what would it be?
A pediatrician in a school clinic
What is the greatest personal or professional obstacle you've overcome?
The loss of my father when I was age 14.
If you started over, what would you do differently?
Nothing

Pray a lot and continue to learn.

If you could change one thing about Baton Rouge, what would it be?
Expand the programs where individuals adopt a family in poverty to help improve the lives of those in poverty one family at a time.
What is your greatest hope for Baton Rouge?
That we could truly provide safe places for all children to live and attend school.
What is your greatest fear for Baton Rouge?
The continued increase in poverty, crime, and problems in the schools.
