A site on Perkins Road just east of Bluebonnet has sold for $2.1 million or about $12.85 per square foot. The 3.75-acre site was occupied by three rent houses and fronts on the south side of Perkins next to Tari’s School of Dance. Mildred D. Powell, William Drago and Joyce Drago sold the land to Summa Professional Office Park. Scott Guidry and Randy Herring and Greg Todaro of Sealy Falgoust Real Estate brokered the transaction.
According to Guidry, the tract had about 256 feet of frontage on Perkins Road and an additional 215 feet on Hyacinth. Summa Professional acquired a 1.87-acre site on the corner of Perkins and Hyacinth in April for $1.427 million or about $17.50 per square foot. Guidry says this property does not adjoin the corner. The new owner plans to sell off a 42,000-square-foot portion of the property fronting Perkins in the near future, but would not reveal the specifics of that transaction. "The close proximity of Bluebonnet and the new Perkins Rowe development have made this an excellent location for Summa Professional Park to invest some money," Guidry says. Summa Professional would not reveal their plans for what they will do with the rest of the site after they sell off the 42,000-square-foot portion.
