Events schedule set for 2013 Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week

    Insider

The third annual Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week will take place in mid-November, with events to include three different pitch competitions, the release of BRAC’s 2014 economic outlook, and a wide variety of breakfast, lunch and evening events. “The schedule of events for BREW 2013 will provide a wide range of opportunities for entrepreneurs, small business owners, innovators and investors,” says BRAC President and CEO Adam Knapp in a prepared statement. “A number of entrepreneurial organization partners have worked together to compile a series of events with well-known speakers and top-notch educational opportunities.” During last year’s BREW, more than $300,000 was pledged to five regional startups during the High Stakes Pitch Night. In addition to the return of that pitch competition, this year’s entrepreneurship week schedule includes a competition for high school students presented by Junior Achievement. LSU will also hold its second annual Elevator Pitch Competition during the week. BREW is annually scheduled to coincide with Global Entrepreneurship Week. BREW 2013 events will kick off on Tuesday, Nov. 19, and run throughout the week. You can find the full schedule of events and registration details at the BREW website. —Staff report
