High Grove begins welcoming first residents
Some residents have begun moving into the High Grove, the retail and residential centerpiece of The Grove—a $28 million traditional neighborhood development off Interstate 10, located just east of the Mall of Louisiana. Domain Companies, developer of the project, says one of two buildings on site is complete and some residents were able to move in earlier this week. A second building will be complete in the next 30 to 45 days. Along with the 192 one- and two-bedroom apartments, the development includes roughly 25,000 square feet of retail space. "Retail tenants will be carefully selected to create an upscale environment that is both a shopping destination and provides convenience retail for the community's residents," Domain says in an announcement released today. "Initial retailers include a 4,500 [-square-foot] Woodhouse Spa and an OpenBarre fitness center." Rents start at $1,025 for a one-bedroom apartment and $1,495 for a two-bedroom. —Staff report
