Colorado State expected to make formal offer to Martin tomorrow
The Board of Governors of the Colorado State University System meets Friday morning with a single item on the agenda: Consideration of officially offering LSU Chancellor Mike Martin the job of chancellor of the CSU System. Martin was named the only finalist May 10. He has not said whether he intends to take the job, but he has confirmed that he would seriously consider the offer, if made. Martin was selected by an 11-member committee that spent nearly eight months conducting a nationwide search for the next chancellor of the CSU System, which includes CSU in Fort Collins, CSU-Pueblo and the online CSU-Global Campus. Martin has been chancellor of LSU's flagship campus since 2008. The next chancellor of the CSU System will succeed Joe Blake, who stepped down as chancellor in December.
